The Oka Kapassa Festival Committee, Native artists, educational demonstrators, and food vendors would like to recognize and thank the UNA volunteers for their contribution to the 2015 event in Spring Park. At the 2015 festival, we had over 100 UNA students to volunteer their time on Friday, School Day which was a HUGE success. It greatly benefited both the artists and demonstrators as well as the local school children and their teachers that attended. The volunteers were organized by UNA College of Education and Human Sciences, assistant professor Dr. Gary Padgett, and UNA Honors Program, Dr. Vince Brewton.
